We will be having a youth retreat from Nov. 7th-8th at the church. The retreat is called Static. The reason is this: 

  • Static-  When there is static on a phone line we can’t hear the person on the other line, when there’s static on the tv we can’t see what’s happening or hear the what the people on the show are saying because we are distracted by the static in front of us. In our life we oftentimes have lots of static that keeps us from hearing God’s voice. This static can be identified as our phones, social media, comparisons, busy schedules, lies, fear, doubt, sin, shame, and so much more. God speaks in a still small voice and if we can quiet the static we can hear him speaking.

In this weekend we want to allow a space for the youth to get a break from the static they may feel in their life and a place for them to connect and learn how to connect with God.
